An adorable encounter between two fitness enthusiasts has blossomed into a regular collaboration of wholesome content on social media.
Daniel Kim, a personal trainer in Orange County who posts fitness-related content on his TikTok account @deekimm, was recording a workout session back in September when a woman named Cheri accidentally walked into his shot.
In the clip, Cheri immediately steps back after noticing the camera and says, “Oop- I almost walked into…”

Kim quickly assures her that it’s alright and she may proceed walking: “You can go ahead. Don’t worry.”
Cheri then approaches Kim and explains to him that she was distracted as she was admiring his arms.
“They are blinding,” Cheri says before walking away, eliciting a laugh from Kim.

Many of the commenters have since dubbed her the “Gym Auntie.”
A few days later, Kim shared a follow-up video that shows him approaching Cheri at the gym and letting her know that the video of their interaction blew up on TikTok.
In the clip, Kim shows Cheri how commenters loved their video, which at the time had already racked up 1.6 million views and 300,000 likes.
Cheri, who is visibly elated by the positive response, starts laughing as Kim shares with her the “Gym Auntie” nickname that the internet has given her.
Cheri has since embraced the label and started posting her own workout content on TikTok under the pseudonym.

Kim and Cheri have also begun working out together in a series of collaboration videos Kim calls the “Gym Auntie series.”
In their latest video together, posted on Nov. 17, Kim expresses gratitude for the support they have received from their audience, saying it gives them “the extra motivation that we need as well to work out harder.”
According to Cheri, the support makes her “want to still keep going and have progress so they can see Auntie really working.” She then shares that she already “came down two sizes.”

With the Biden administration urging people to get both a COVID-19 booster and a flu shot as soon as possible, the White House's Dr. Ashish Jha said Sunday that updated vaccinations will help people "move on" from the pandemic. "It's been, obviously, a long two and a half years for Americans, and we understand that people want to move on," Jha, the White House COVID-19 coordinator, told ABC "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz of the virus that has killed more than 1 million people in the U.S. "The good news is people can move on if they keep their immunity up to date." COVID-19 deaths are still averaging more than 2,000 per week and only about 11% of the country has gotten the latest booster compared to 80% of people who completed the primary course of vaccination that was rolled out in 2021, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
